Sounds like you may have pinched a nerve. It will return to normal if you have a normal spine. The right thing to do is have a check up and an exray to see what's going on back there. You may have degenerative disc desease at an early stage or it may be so simple as we first thought. He may recommend a physical therapist. Avoid chiropractics until you know what is going on in your back.

I have the same problem and found that a good chiropractor is the best answer for me.

check with your DR

maybe you pulled something?...if it keeps up you should go to the dr if it bugs you to much, better to be safe then sorry

Try to feel the pain, or the sensation, intensely for 5 minutes, 3 times a day, and in a week you will be better. This is a good rule of thumb for most other problems too.

Question.

Do you exercise? If so...do you include exercise that work your back muscles?

One reason for back pain is due to the fact that people neglect working this muscle out (they'll instead, only work muscles they can see...Ie. Abs, when you have overdeveloped abs, and an underdeveloped back...you will experience pain)

Do you stretch?

My next question, may seem insensitive, but...are you overweight or obese? If you have more body weight located near your abdominal section, your center of gravity will move forward, and this will cause your back to kind of position itself in a weird stance so it can compensate to ensure it can support this body weight.

The burning pains sounds like your nerves in your back. Your back may be a little out of alignment. Don't lift anything heavy. If have lifted or pulled anything heavy that could cause you back to go out of alignment. Try lots of rest and a heating pad daily will help. Keep your posture straight. The sharp pain is your nerve being pinched. Don't sleep with your hips twisted. If you have an old bed that sags in the middle, that could cause your back to go out of alignment over time. You might want to consider buying a new firmer bed. That will help your back too.
