Why does someone who has had triple bypass twice an a pacemaker?!
Question: I`ve tried to get social security disability for over 1 year an now have a attorney an waiting on an appeal an not able to work this doesn`t say a whole for our gov. offices

so, why is it the government's responsibility to take care of you when the root of the problem is likely an unhealthy lifestyle to begin with?
there are tons of people out there with heart diseases and surgeries and yes pacemakers too that continue to work. I am one of them.
If you can afford an attorney, you probably don't need government assistance, and since it is likely your own doing that put you where you are, you probably shouldn't get it anyway.
The role of government is not to play Parent to it's citizens and take care of them. It is to support them in their efforts to help themselves. If you can type, you can think and you can speak, you can work. Get off the pity pot, get over the fear of being mortal and get a job.
The goverment has certian guidelines for disability, you have to be almost dead to get it. OR HAVE BACK trouble, (the back is hard to predict) I am sorry the first answer was so cruel,, especially with her not knowing you. Shake it off and you keep going till you get what you need. We all pay into to the goverment for this need so if you have ever worked and paid taxes you are covered for disability if and when you need it. NO one wants to be disabled to get a measly check from the gov. unless you have no choice. So if you are applying you need it to survive. Sorry to hear about your health being so bad, but keep trying till you suceed. Good luck!
