It is use for the treatment of acne as well as clear red marks, scars as well as wrinkles. It does so by peeling your skin which in simple terms exfoliation.

If it is your initial use of Retin-A, you will find your skin getting red and sore like a sunburn. This is because Retin-A peels your face. It is this mechanism that helps get rid of acne by sloughing away old skin cells or cells on the surface faster as well as cells in the pore to prevent clogging of the pore so that bacteria cannot build up in them. That's why it helps acne by purging the pores. Intitial use of Retin-A may also induce breakout due to the purging, pushing all the bacteria to the surface but after a few weeks, you will start clearing up when your pores are clean.

Because it gets rid of old cells as well to reveal newer cells underneath, it helps scars and wrinkles and red marks also.

Retin-A is sensitive to sunlight so it is preferred to be used at night and application of sunblock is important in the day as it can make your skin sensitive also.

i have used retin a microgel for years after my laser surgery ...it does get rid of fines lines and does tighten face as well as taking care of acne

My wife uses Retin A Micro and likes it.When she first started useing it, Her face got really dry and started to peel. from what i understand it draws all the inpuritys out from deep under the skin and the condition gets worse before getting better.

I used it a few years back, and liked it. It accelerates the shedding and renewal process of your skin. Most skin damage/problems only goes so deep, so when it does this it diminishes the look of scarring, and clears up alot of blemishes. The only drawback I had is that when you first start using it your skin can be quite flakey, and a little sensitive. This passes once you've used it for a while though.
