Does MS have any breathing issues???!

Question: I have MS and have no breathing issues..
My dad died of effects of MS and was on a breathing machine last year of his life...
It varies by person..there is a yahoo group called friendswithMS maybe some on there has had breathing issues...
Do you have a definitive dx of MS? Sarcoidosis affects the lungs and is one of the things they rule out when you are going through all the testing for MS.

My sister has MS and she doesn't have any breathing concerns as of yet, but it is possible. MS affects each person differently. Multiple Sclerosis refers to damaged spots on the brain, whichever area is damaged is what will be affected.

I have M S and doesn't bother my breathing just my walking

MS in later stages can very well affect your breathing.
Remember MS attacks the muscles and nerves in the body
The lungs breathe due to the muscular sacs and if they become infected with this unknown virus, you could have faulty exhaling because it takes muscles to let the air out through the sacs. You must remember this occurs in the very
last stages of MS. That also is the reason a patient with advanced problems have a hard time talking. It is a sin that
people have to get this disease because their mind is sharper and they watch their bodies go down the tubes.
