Ihave just had a defrillabrator surgery and my manual doesn't say anything?!

Question: about being able to use a computer, I'm sure it's about the brand you have, or maybe I need to contact the company, I just feel funny after using it. The company is medtronic.
thanks in advance for all the good answers!

Using your computer is fine.
The only things you can not do is metal welding and surfing. I don't mean on the net, I mean in the ocean.
I know what I am talking about, I work in a cadiac cath lab.

You are fine.....it is just your imagination. It is perfectly safe to use a computer.

If you are concerned, contact your doctor, not the manufacturer. Had the device activated when it wasn't needed, you'd KNOW it.

hmmm i should think it would be fine to use a computer, if it had activated your defib you would have know about it!!

Personally though i would contact your cardiologist.

You can't bring strong magnetic fields within about six inches of your defibrillator. A computer poses no problems. Actually a computer screen will be damaged if you bring that strong of a magnetic field to the screen. It takes about the same level to damage either one.

You are probably moving your shoulder in a repetitive motion as you use your computer. Just having had surgery that would make anyone uncomfortable.
