Try meditating to cut out all the tingly nervous feelings that feel like thoughts but actually aren't thoughts. They're baby adrenaline rushes. I've been doing this lately too, but if you can take a few hours out of every day to just practice shutting that tingly badness out and just be aware that the only thing present is your controlled thoughts, your controlled movements, and the room (or park or whatever) you're in is all there is. You should be able to calm yourself down. And eventually it'll get easier and easier to do and your panic attacks will lessen more. The more you do it, the more normal you'll feel and the more you'll know you can get past it.

It may help if you find a daily focus to keep your mind from wandering too. Just..make all your thoughts and actions controlled and determined and focused rather than let them stray into insecure territory. Oh and make sure you deal with your daily stress every night or it will build up over the weeks.

Hope that helps, good luck. If you need someone to talk about more than once in yahoo answers you can private message me on yahoo.

Cognitive psychology... face your fear and overcome it. ERmbracce your fear and step out of your comfort zone. you will never recover if you cant see your not in any danger.

I had been suffering from anxiety for a while and thought there would never be any relief, but then one day i was sitting in the doctors office and picked up a pamphlet. Inside it talked about anxiety and how if affected people and it named a medicine: Lexapro. I asked my doctor and ever since I have been worry free and everything seems a little brighter!
I don't know if it would be the right choice for you, but you should definitely ask your doctor about it.

My experience with anxiety/panic attacks stemmed from one little palpation or irregular heart beat....and then BAM! my system would just go haywire and adrenilin would pump and it was all over til I could get it back under control (which usually required medical intervention of some kind, ie: lots of ER visits...I really believed I was going to die...it's the "fight or flight" response that is our animal-ness).

Finally, my doctor discovered gastritis was causing my stomach to press on the aortic nerve of my heart, causing the skipped/irregular beats and nerves to go crazy.

Once I was prescibed medication to relax my guts, I've been fine ever since.

Also, a trick to stop some types of irregular heart beats is forcing yourself to cough while holding onto your ribcage. It works for me..and I have been told I have a Mitral Valve irregularity...no meds for that though!!!
