My face????!

Question: Ive been dealing with acne now for about 8 years (im 18).Ive tried just about everything and nothing seems to work.I tried what the doctor gave me and it made no difference, ive tried just about every soap and potion and nothing works.(I did try the avon system thats like proactive and it kinda worked, but im unable to get that right now).I wash my face twice a day and use a toner (i think thats what its called) at night. But its just getting worse. My t-zone has become extra oily lately and im getting more and more cystic pimples (the kind that are under your skin and hurt.(i have 2on my face and one on my back right now)And im getting more acne elsewhere on my body. Its driving me insane and ive just about given up hope on ever having clear skin.If anyone can help me it would be really appreciated. Thanks much.

You've still got a few more years before your hormones will settle down and then your acne will recede and you won't give it a second thought. For now, use a good cleanser 2-3 times a day, use only oil-free moisturisers, don't wear makeup, get a good high-quality astringent for the oil buildup. You can get cleansing pads to clean up your t-zone on a whim whenever it gets a bit oily and just carry them around with you in a pocket or a purse or a backpack.

I used to be the same way, even prescriptions did **** all about it. But now I get an average of one little superficial zit a month that I can take care of with clearasil in about 2 days. don't let it get to you, it will get better.

We'll just being 18 is huge red flag. Usually teenagers or students, have acne problems. I've heard that stress could do a number on your hormones, thus causing pimples. Students are usually under stress with homework and balancing their day, thus pimples, weight gain, gingivitis(inflamed gums-cure: floss nightly).
Sounds too me your washing your face a little too much. Your washing your natural oils out of your face and you body is working double to replace them. This could be making your T zones worse. Maybe you should try washing face at night with gently face wash. No toner. (this only dries out face more, your body will produce more oil to compensate). When you wake up, don't wash with soap again, only use warm wash cloth to remove night oils, remember no toner, while your having acne.

Hopefully this will help restore your natural oil producing cycle. Don't make it work harder than it should. Stay away from greasy trans fat foods. Try it for a week. Good Luck!

If nothing is working for your acne, try a natural acne cure.
