How come even the tiniest scents and powders can trigger a life threatening asth!
Question: Are the asthmatics lungs THAT bad? I have asthma and all it takes is one TINY 2 minute trip to a cosmetics store like sephora, and i don't even directly inhale anything, but that alone, and Im' already feeling lightheaded and strange, and then it just keeps building, and within the hour if I don't have the proper meds on me, it's the whole 9. The asthmatic reaction, labored breathing, soreness, etc etc etc,
How can such TINY things affect breathing SO much?
Would that mean that I have allergic asthma?
I also get it alot when I"m sick.
But I already take claritin and singulair and I'm also on advair, prendisone sometimes and xopenex/albuterol for emergency,
and yet these tiny things still affect me.
Does this mean that I have it bad, or that these drugs may not be right for me?

Yes, it means you have "it" bad. You need to visit your doctor and get on an action plan...the conditions you mentioned that trigger your asthma can be controlled.
Both of my sons have asthma, each a different case, each on a different action plan. One only needs albuterol before activities, the other, much more severe...daily regimen of albuterol, claritin, prednisone as needed, albuterol nebulizer when in the red-zone.
You need to have your history updated if you are that sensitive out and about in the public.
There is nothing wrong with me but I get choked from going in a perfume shop, same with my boyfriend.
HOW can such tiny thing affect
I have asthma that reacts the same way.Ever seen people in stores with the white hospital masks on? They aren't there to rob the store! I am taking the same things you are for my asthma & some things just aggravate the lungs.I have noticed that my asthma attacks are lessened since i was put on these meds. but i still believe the masks help a lot.Some people wear them because they have a cold or because they don't want a cold from other people.Try wearing one in just certain areas & to heck with what other people think.We need to breathe!!
