How do I get rid of a ringworm?!
Question: its been there for 3 days and I just got a letter in the mail saying its time for my cats to be dewormed. More $$ to spend and add to the stress!! =[

Ringworm is caused by fungi similar to the ones that cause athlete's foot.
I usually get good results by using an anti-fungal cream.
There's a ton of stuff out there that is available over-the-counter. I usually use Monistat or Micatin. You can also try stuff like Nizoral, Lotrimin AF, Mycelex, Lamisil.
Believe it or not, I used a cotton ball and applied a little
lighter fluid. Did this twice a day for a couple of days and it
killed the worm under the skin and healed up.
Someone told me it was an "old wifes" remedy and it
worked for me.
The answer that comes to mind is, kiss your little kitties good bye, or get used to living with their infestations.
See a doctor for a prescription to get rid of it. Good Luck!

You can de-worm your cats yourself...they have products at Petco I'm sure. You must treat them again 2 wks later also. When changing your cat box..always wash hands w/antibacterial soap before and after emptying; so you don't get a ring worm..you'll have to go to Doc to treat it...spreads easily....... Looks like I gave a short verson of easy remedies....Hope I helped a little
