Sorry to hear about your dad. . . especially if the dad that you have is a good one.

God made our bodies capable of healing ourselves. That comes, when we put things in our bodies that will restore them. Look up the Hallejuah diet on google. George Malkmus is the guy that wrote many books on this subject.
I do disagree on him about not eating meat, other than that, if you want to get serious help for your dad, read his books. Study and learn as much as you can about herbs and vitamins.

Their is hope for your dad. He can improve his health greatly. All you need to do is to put the things in your body, that help to restore it. Pills, that are not all natural, will not have lasting results. If you want to see improvement. If you want more lasting results. First change your diet, next replace the pills with all natural herbs and vitamins. When you do the latter, be sure to have a professionals help.

Do research on the internet about what will help with this.

If he has high blood pressure (you mentioned heart problems) check out hypertonel.

Hope it works out for you. I seriously reccommend that you check out George Malkmus, and others that go all natural.

wow this is realy crazy but my dad has diabetes and my name is becca well its common for diabetes, but he needs to talk to his doctor about his feelings he might new medications for his diabetes my dad had to change his because he was having problems.

People with diabetes tend to have problems with their extremeties (i.e. fingers and toes). They don't have good circulation and if they don't take care of themselves properly, may have to have an amputation. He should definitely talk to his doctor, especially if he dives (because depending on how deep he dives, the pressure could also negatively affect him). Combine that with heart problems and it isn't a good combination.

My dad has diabetes and this doesnt happen to him. You should take ur dad to emergency. NOW!

I saw a commercial for the burning feeling in the legs, they say there is medication for that. Just encourage him to eat right and excersise. My little girl is always questioning me about the carbs and sugar content in the food I eat. She's only 9 lol. Ask him if you can go with him to his next appointment and then the Doc can reassure you and answer any questions you may have.

Hi. I am diabetic too. The burning in his feet is called Neuropathy and it's a side effect of the diabetes. This site will help you learn a little about it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diabetic_ne... I was diagnosised about 12 years ago. It helped me to lose a little weight and walk for exercise. It's hard when your feet hurt, but it really helps by increasing the blood flow. We are very much at risk for heart attacks, so be sure he sees his doctor regularly. It isn't an exact science and there is no magic pill or shot yet. He may need a change in meds but his doctor is best suited to decide that. I take oral meds. I also find when I'm stressed my feet hurt more, and so do my hands, from this. My Dad was diabetic also, so be sure to get tested. I am not overweight, or a sugar hound. The more we sit and stop the circulation, the more painful it can be. Some kind of exercise is the best relief. Have him talk to his doctor. Also here is the best sight to help you learn: http://www.diabetes.org/home.jsp
