What do i do to come off lantus if im switching to a different insulin?!

Question: Talk to the doctor or CDE or diabetic nurse. I think you must add a bit of the different insulin and lower your Lantus at the same time. Or are you switching to Levemir? In which case just stop the Lantus and use the Levemir.

Really in truth, you must just go talk to the specialty person in your life to find out what the differentials are.

Stop taking the Lantus. But ask your doctor first.

If you are swtching to a BD regimen, your insulin will need to increase a little, but you can stop 24hrs after injecting Lantus and start immediately with the other insulin. Keep monitoring to see how your body responds.

It depends on what you are switching to.
You need to speak with the doctor who prescribed the different insulin.

what are you going onto? Lantus I found worked the best because it was a nice even dose. You really should get direction from your diabetes nurse/doctor not from on here
Good luck

nothing just change and that is it.
