After effects of chicken pox?!


Question: My daughter 19 yrs old was diagonised with chicken pox on 7 th Jan 2008.After 20 days she is fully recovered.What I would like to know is dried skin from the blisters on her body keeps falling here and there .Is this infectious.Any medicnes prescribed for recovery after chicken pox

If whats happening now is that the lesions are all dried up and she is "peeling" so to speak then NO they are not contagious.
No, no meds are prescribed after chicken pox
Everyone who has ever had the chicken pox will be left with the virus (herpes Zoster) dormant in their system. Some; not all, will eventually break out in Shingles after a stress of some sort.. This is usually treated with anti-viral meds and OTC pain meds

I had no after effects of chicken pox....however about ten years after I had them I got shingles.....

Well the scars will recover within 6 months or so though.

The scabs are not contagious. If there is scarring due to chicken pox you might have her try some Mederma.
