How do u kno if u have breast cancer?!

Question: my boobs hurt idk

Answers: my boobs hurt idk

Normally, you'd feel a solid lump in your breast. But that also happens when you have your period.

sometimes, because of the hormones, your period causes your breasts to become very tender and develop temporary lumps.

If your breasts hurt and have lumps a week or so after your period is over, then you should check with your doctor.

Go ask a doctor. Best choice.

go to your ob it could be PMS, or your preggers, or whatever go get them checked out-- u'll probably need to get a mamogram if they think it is cancer

the only way you can know is by getting tested by a doctor.

you should get checked out periodically.
sometimes you don't know and need a mamagram(?)

You didn't say your age honey, but if you are just developing that is quite normal, if you are about to start your period also very normal. If you find a lump in your breast, that should be looked at by a doctor, if your nipple is inverted sure sign of cancer. Best way to know for sure go to your doctor for your concerns.

See a doctor. Just cause ur boobs hurt doesnt mean you have cancer... Many girls get sensitive before, during and/or after their period. You can check your self for lumps but best choice is to see a doctor if you are really that concerned. If you do have cancer the quicker you know the quicker you can start treatment.

Breast tenderness is normal and natural during certain times of the month, especially right before and during your period. You don't have cancer just because your breasts hurt. There is, however, a type of cancer that causes pain, other symptoms are a bruised look or redness, inverted nipple, one breast larger than the other (with bruised look or redness). If it's near your period, don't worry. It's always best to see a doctor with any concerns. Even a lump in the breast doesn't always mean cancer, intake of caffeine can cause breast density and small cyst lumps that are not cancerous. So, don't worry, just take an aspirin and see if it goes away.

You don't unless you have had a biopsy and a doctor tells you so.

I gather from your Q&A that you're very young; It is EXTREMELY rare for someone as young as you are to get breast cancer.

Your soreness almost certainly hormonal - is your period due?

For reference, the signs and symptoms of breast cancer are:

change in size - one breast may have become noticeably larger or lower

nipple change - if it becomes inverted (pulled in) or changes its position or shape

rash - on or around the nipple

discharge - from one or both nipples

puckering or dimpling - around nipple

swelling
