Can cholesterol already in your arteries be reduced without surgery?!

Question: Yes, eat more foods with unsaturated fats.

Unsaturated fats can be a healthy choice. These types of fats can actually reduce cholesterol levels and provide us with the essential fatty acids that the body needs. They include the unsaturated fats found in oily fish, which may help prevent heart disease.

These are all high in unsaturated fat:

oily fish
avocados
nuts and seeds
sunflower, rapeseed and olive oil and spreads
vegetable oils
If you want to make a healthy choice, try to have more unsaturated fats and less saturated fats, this means you could choose:

oily fish instead of sausages or a meat pie
use unsaturated oils such as olive, sunflower or rapeseed oils instead of butter, lard and ghee in cooking
snack on some unsalted nuts instead of a biscuit
make your mashed potato with olive oil and garlic instead of butter and milk for a change
choose a fat spread that is high in unsaturates instead of butter

Using olive oil instead of other oils in your cooking also helps to lower levels.

Unsaturates travel in your bloodstream and get rid of some of the cholesterol in your arteries as you go along. Saturated fats contribute to a high cholesterol level.

of course. cholesterol can be hereditary also though. Have you had it checked? Cholesterol can be lowered through diet and excercise. If it is too high, medication will have to interfere. Drinking plenty of water helps also.

What is it you don't get?

9/18/2007: Julie from Elk Grove, CA, USA writes: "I am 48 yrs old and have suffered from severe insomnia for 9 years. I have taken ambien sleeping pills for the last 5 years just to get a good night sleep. I started taking apple cider vinegar and baking soda for eczema and it CURED my insomnia. I mean totally cured. No more sleeping pills and I am not exaggerating when I say I sleep like i did in my 20's. At first my skin felt like it was burning for a couple of days then when it was gone so were many ailments. It also lowered my cholesterol 30 points, and I no longer have acid reflux. Thank you for your website. Its been such a blessing."
