Is there a test? Blood work? X-Rays? Ect.?!

Question: any test for Firbromyalgia?

Answers: any test for Firbromyalgia?

Not really. And, it's really a crappy thing to have to go through, isn't it? It's an ailment that by, so many western medical professionals, is poo-pooed too. Unless you strike gold with a western physician that really advocates for fibromyalgia, you probably won't enjoy much avail. Western medicine is deeply flawed in that it likes illnesses that are tangible; but because the symptoms of fibromyalgia are subjective, it makes treatment seem impossible sometimes to physicians. Which is why western doctors generally don't want to touch it. Really, I think the best direction to take would be that of a naturopath/homeopath, or the like.

There is no blood work or x-rays. A Dr. will examine a patient they suspect have this illness and there are I think 7 pressure points they look for to say for sure that they have the illness if they are positive. They also look for certain symptoms like pain, fatigue, sleep disturbances, etc

No, this diagnosis is generally given based upon symptoms. My husband, who is a nurse, has told me that many medical personnel don't even consider this a legitimate diagnosis - that there is really no such thing, as it is based on a bunch of varying, vague clues and there is no physical test to 'show' it. I am not saying that is the case, as I have known a number of people who have claimed to suffer from it and I know that they are genuinely suffering from something. I'd suggest reading all you can about it and get another doctor's opinion if you are not sure.
