thank you soo much,

I used the "Commit" lozenge ,i smoked for 25 years, never tried to quit before, but when i found out that i have high blood pressure i tried them and was surprised at how easy it was.You can also use the generic or store brand (much cheaper..same ingredients) good luck!!

There is NO way you can smoke 5 packs A day...do the the math and remember that you gotta get SOME sleep.Think about it!!!

My wife and strangely enough my colleagues who knew how badly I wanted to give up. Most of them smoked at that time.

New Year's resolution: to improve my standard of living. Part of this was to save money. So, I quit smoking. Figured I was spending about 80 bucks a month on smokes. Burning up cash, literally. So, I stopped. going on three weeks. No cravings, don't think about it. Just dropped the habit. Each week that goes by, I saved $15-20.

Just quit.

You may not want to hear it, but, in order:
1. The power of God helping me
2. quit 'cold turkey'
3. lots of tootsieroll pops

FYI, I was 5 packs/day when I quit. I had smoked from about 1963 through 1989.

I smoked for 20 years and never could stop..One day I really heard the voice of the Lord tell me to stop drinking and smoking and I did! Over 5 years so prayer helps and reading your bible or devotional, keep your eyes on the Lord and not the thing that is killing us! Nicotine

Chantix-- no willpower necessary, and I quit after only 3 doses of the stuff; however, I did take the entire month's worth of the medication.

Cold turkey... And I avoided all smokers and adjusted all of the reasons for which I may have smoked until I was well beyond the physical and psychological withdrawals. Chew minty gum after eating, always have a bottle of water nearby, suck on lollipops (sugarfree). Above all, tell everyone your quiting so they know what to expect when you get irritable and bitchy.
