Irregular heartbeat?!

Question: alright so i am a 15 year old female. i had posted some questions about something that happened to me that the doctors still do not know what is wrong. i had what they assumed was a seizure, but they do not know what caused it or what is wrong or anything. they do not know what to do. well, someone answered saying a similar thing happened to them and it had to do with irregular heartbeats. the reason im asking is that i looked it up and it sounds like it could be the problem, but wouldnt doctors already have diagnosed it? is it easy to diagnose? there have been instances where something happens and my heart starts to be faster and i start to get a feeling that "it" is going to happen again. Does anyone have any ideas or opinions. Does it seem like the irregular heartbeat thing?

In order for doctors to be able to diagnose irregular heartbeats, they have to be able to see them somehow.

This can be accomplished through a variety of tests.

1. Holter Monitors and Event Recorders
The Holter monitor will show the doctor every one of the patient's heart beat for a continuous 24 - 48 hour period. If any abnormal beats or heart arrhythmias occur during that time, they will be identified.

2. The Cardiac Stress Test
Some forms of cardiac disease are easily missed when the patient is at rest, because at rest the patient's physical examination and ECG are often entirely normal. In these cases, cardiac abnormalities may become apparent only when the heart is asked to perform at increased workloads.
The stress test is used to evaluate the heart and vascular system during exercise. It helps answer to two general questions: 1) Is there occult underlying heart disease that only becomes apparent when the heart is stressed by exercise? 2) If there is underlying heart disease, how severe is it?

Irregular heartbeats are not something to be overly concerned about however a thorough examination may be necessary to rule out any other underlying heart problems that could be more serious.

id say secure a coffin and kiss ur booty goodbye! =}

I never had the seizure, but I do have the heart symptoms, have had them for decades. I was diagnosed with mitralvalve prolapse, though there can be other causes for the skipped beats/fast beats, etc. You will need to have an echocardiogram to be certain, as it can't be diagnosed with a regular check-up. To keep mine under control, I have been taking a beta-blocker evey day.

If you think it is related have a stress test done. Some irregular heartbeat problems only surface onder certain conditions and they may not find it in a regular office visit. Seizures can be caused by a lot of things, and although not common could be caused by lack of blood to your brain caused by heart problems.

talk to your doctor about what you think it might be. some doctors will actually listen to their patients. if not, you can always go to another one or have your doctor refer you to a specialist. sounds like you need to at least have some heart tests done just to rule out any heart problems. could be something as simple as anxiety. but you need to see a doctor AND talk to your parent(s) or adult family member about your symptoms.

It can be hard to catch an irregular heart beat if it happens only sporadically. Its like when your car makes a funny noise now and then, its NEVER going to make while the mechanic is listening!

You might want to ask your doctor to have you wear a heart monitor that records your heartbeat over a span of time, several days to a week. You are more likely to catch what is going on that way.

Sounds like arrhythmia.
Try eating raw garlic, and taking a Co-Q-10 supplement.
I would also supplement with arginine and folic acid.

I read one of old post and it sounds as if it maybe orthostatic hypotension: also known as postural hypotension, orthostatic reflect, orthostatic intolerance and, colloquially, as head rush or a dizzy spell) is a form of hypotension in which there is a sudden fall in blood pressure, typically greater than 20/10 mm Hg, that occurs when a person assumes a standing position, usually after a prolonged period of rest. This does cause black outs/fainting.

I have this and it can be very unnerving. I ti snot easy diagnose. The most definitive test is a tilt table test:http://www.heartsite.com/html/tilt_test....

I work in the ehalthcare field, however, I am not your doctor nor am I even familiar with you other than the very little you stated about yourself. My advise is that anyone at any age that is experiencing these symptoms should consult thier doctor and request a stress test. It is non painful and a very good start to cardiac diagnostics. Good luck and don't sit on it you only have one body, take care of it.

could be stay calm honey i know you are scared take care
