go to the doctor. I had the same problem and you have to take an antibiotic to get rid of it.

There is some over the counter stuff for pink eye that is available in pharmacies. Ask the pharmacist about it. I hope you feel better.

Pink eye is a bacterial infection called conjunctivitis. You can soothe the symptoms, but not eliminate the infection with warm compresses. There are prescription drops and ointments that treat the infection.

Here are some testimonials on how to heal the issue.

COLLOIDAL SILVER
4/12/2007: Lilly from Brunswick, Maine writes: "re: Cure for Pink Eye: Hi. I recently had a bad case of conjunctivitis which was not going away and lasted about two weeks. I purchased colloidal silver, sprayed it into my eyes two to three times in one day and it was gone the next!!! Great stuff and so is your site----thank you so much"

SALINE SOLUTION
3/25/2007: Lady from Missouri, USA writes: "I work with children and have spent a small fortune over the years on those tiny tubes of prescription cream. Then a co-worker from England told me he never heard of anyone using a prescription for eye infection. He said everyone in England just washes with salt water at the first sign of infection. Sure enough, I've staved off a couple of eye infections by rinsing my eye liberally with my normal saline solution. (Do it in the shower, it's messy.) The first sign, for me, is the runny eye. It runs clear the first day or so and then gets thicker and whitish. Before it gets any further, use the saline to wash away the infection!"

DILUTED APPLE CIDER VINEGAR

8/9/2007: stephanie (steph.anderson@sbcglobal.net) from Chicago, IL writes: "I read about curing 'pink eye' on your website with ACV. I woke up in the middle of the night last night and I knew I had pink eye. This morning, after reading your suggestions, put 1tbsp. ACV in a glass of water and rinsed both eyes out. It stung like mad for about 5 minutes, I kept my eyes closed and layed down until the stinging stopped. I went back to check my eyes in the mirror and all the pink eye germs, that yellow-gummy-crap had all made it's way to the end of my eyelashes in an attempt to get away from the ACV! I couldn't believe what I was looking at, it was disgusting! Anyway, it worked, no more crusty yellow gummy crap in my eyes. I did the same process two more times just to make sure it was gone! Anyway, it worked and I don't have to go to the doctor so I'm grateful. thanks!"
