Question: How hard are acne medications on your liver and body?
Right now I'm using 4. I'm using one for my forehead and sides of face and neck, then one for the rest of my face then one I use once a week for exfoliation. Then I use a moisturizer...
Is that too much? I really dont want liver cancer when I get older. I'm 15.

It sounds as if you are using only topical medications? If so, these are not really problematic for the liver -- and none are suspected carcinogens. Of the acne medications, only Accutane, an oral medication, has been demonstrated to raise any concerns for the health of the liver. Tetracycline, an oral antibiotic, can be toxic to the liver after its expiration date -- but only Accutane requires monthly testing of liver enzymes and lipids to determine if it is having any impact. Topical medications, although absorbed into the skin, are not difficult for the liver to process and neutralize for elimination.

do u use prescription or just chemist types.
the chemist types dont really do alot.
your best just to keep your skin clean. moisturise once to twice a day.
and see a doctor.

i had the same problem as you have!
i went to my doctor..and she gave me this trial stuff..i honeslty dont remember what its called.but i didnt work[prescriptions dont work on some people but do on others] but anyways..this was last summer.and like ever since then ive had battles with acne..i know right?! horrible..lol
but anyways..i went to target one time to get some more medicine..but i was looking for a new kind b.c the other one didnt work..so i picked up this stuff called neutrogena nutritionist(sp) its in a green bottle. you may think that this is for girls...but hey victoria secrets scrub works well too!haha
but yeah my friend who is a guy and who is 15 like you.uses it and he says it works very well.he actually recomended it to me. but yeah
get that stuff! it really works!
