Why do moles cause cancer?!
Question: im with dr j there.. ive had 4 moles taken off thru melanoma and the moles were *where the sun has never been* so that kind of blows the idea that sun has much to do with it. most moles are ok i think its because some moles have deeper *roots* is where the problem lies. but you certainly have to be careful in the sun as they are alot more sensitive xx

its not the moles that cause cancer. its the sun on them. They are more prone to problems because they are a sensitive part of your skin but you can get skin cancer anywhere on you skin not just moles
Not all moles do.
Moles don't cause cancer, but they commonly host it.

Don't say that, Ive got a pair of moleskin trousers
moles do not cause cancer but can some can be precancer
its not the moles themselves that cause cancer, its just that they are sensitive areas and cancer attaches its self to the most vulnerable parts .... :)
Moles don't cause cancer. However these areas of increased pigment are more prone to undergo cancerous change than normal skin, this risk increases with exposure to sun.
moles with sun damage develop cellular changes that become abberant thus potentially cancerous
OK, I'm a cancer survivor, but not a mole cancer survivor. BUT....everyone beat me to it. Moles do not cause caner. They just are more sensitive and can be a host to the cancer.
