IBS Problems?!

Question: I have been having chronic pains during the night in my upper stomach and ended up walking around trying to get rid of gas buildup. I seem to be able to eat less and less. Can anyone offer any advice. Also does anyone know if bread can be a contributory factor?

OMG! Bread.....I'm nodding Keep off the bread, pasta, rice and potatoes and red meats/pork as these dont help with IBS.
Drink plenty of water and eat lots of fruit as your stomach might be sluggish. You can buy mini drinks which can help over a period of 2 weeks. These contain good bacteria.
If you go to a chemist, you will get some help and advise from them and something to take.

Hope this helps

You might not have IBS it could be a problem with excessive acid being produced in your stomach. I had the same problem thought it was IBS at first . Doctor prescribed me Omeprazole 20mg which inhibits the production of acid and my problem settled down after a couple of days

my name is robert and iv got the same problem it feels like a softball stuck in my chest in the center were my chest meets i tryed tums roliads ect... nothing worked so i changed my diet and stoped eating befor bedtime and it helped also stoped drinking cokes and went to apple juice and no im not 80 years old i was just willing to try anything i was waking up every night about 3:00am and it lasted about 2 or three hours i would even try to make myself sick to relieve the pressure my advise is change your diet and dont eat to late at night and after dinner try to take a walk or a run on the treadmill to settle your stomach it semms to have worked 4 me.

Try sleeping on your left side or on your belly and see if that helps. It has helped in many cases.
All the advices are appropriate.
Good luck!
