Sore throats accompanied by ear aches ?!

Question: Am I going to get a fever or something ?
My throat hurts and so do my ears.
Is there certain things I should avoid like cold drinks and overall cold stuff ? Will that help prevent a fever ?

If any of these symptoms last more than 3-4 days, i suggest going to see your primary care doctor, as they may need to prescribe you an antibiotic.

You probably have an ear and throat infection due to the latest bug that has been going around wherever you live. Depending on said bug, you may or may not get a fever. Ear infections are nothing to play around with as well. While they will go away on their own, just like a throat infection, there is no need to let it progress to being dizzy, having headaches, fevers, difficulty hearing and pressure.

Do not deprive yourself of sleep during the next week. This will also help you recoup faster.

And as for preventing a fever, take tylenol, it is a fever reducer and will also help with throat pain.

feel better!

You didn't mention your age, but if you are not an adult you may have an ear infection and should go to the doctor to get antibiotics. If you are an adult you might be suffering from allergies or have a sinus problem. Benadryl is the most effective when it comes to allergies and sinus problems. It makes you drowsy so take it before you go to bed.

It may be a swollen gland in your neck, that can affect both your ears and throat. You could be developing a throat infection hence why your glands would be swollen.
