Leg Veins?!

Question: I've been changing my diet a little-more fruits and veggies, smaller portions of meat, more whole-grains-- and exercising more (I only mention this because it's the only recent life changes that might have an effect).

The last few days I've noticed the veins in my arms and legs sticking out. Not sticking out like bulging veins you can see the bumps of, but the color is very dark and solid against my skin. I can't normally see anything but very faint blue lines and was just wondering if I should be worried and/or what could cause this?

Also--I am not pale...my skin is medium toned and tan.

These are probably varicose veins. They show up with age. You can help prevent them some by exercising, but diet doesn't really play into it much. Sadly you can't get rid of them, other than surgically.
