Deviated septum surgery and sleep?!
Question: I'm going to have surgery for a deviated septum to help with Chronic Sinsusitis. I had a CT on my sinsuses which my doctor confirmed I had Chronic Sinsusitis. My question is when everything is said and done, after I've healed from the surgery which I know can takes weeks, months, etc. will I be able to get a good nights rest? The thing that gets me with Chronic Sinusitis isn't so much the congestion and all that, it's the lack of sleep I feel I've gotten for so long. The lack of quality sleep. I'm so tired, I'm delusional.

After the nasal packing is removed (sometimes a couple of days post op) and the swelling goes down, you should get a better night's sleep than you can ever remember!
I believe that most of my patients swear to a huge difference within a week of surgery!
Good luck with your recovery!
Yes, you should get a good night's sleep as soon as you have healed from the surgery, as you will be able to breath.
I suffered from the same condition.
Good luck!
