Im 10 week's pregnant with a cold and runny nose what should I do?!

Question: Don't take anything for cold & flu without doctor or pharmacy advice. You can take paracetamol for headache or fever. Although if you do have fever you definitely need to go to doctoras fever can be bad for the baby. You can use some nasal sprays if you get sinus problems. If you develop a cough make sure you keep doing your pelvic floor exercises as persistent cough does weaken the muscles. Get plenty of rest, drink lots of fluids and don't worry, a cold is nothing serious.

Make the Dad bring you a hot cup of tea and rub your feet. That should help.

Sleep and eat lots of vitamin C

Do not take any over the counter drugs. Even if they say their safe during pregnancy. Go to your local health store and they can give you the best advice. Other than that double up on vitamin C and take some vitamin E with it to help with the absorbtion b/c vitamin C is water soluable. But whatever you do stay away from vitamin A, unless it is in the form of Beta Carotene.

Definitely contact your doctor or OBGYN before taking any medications. I know when I was pregnant I was allowed to take Tylenol brand products only. Everyone has a different system so I would call your doctor and ask them what you should take.

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Enjoy the baby, they grow up so fast.
