Could i have bowel cancer??!
Question: hi im rly worried... i seem to be showing some of the signs of bowel cancer but i also know that the symptoms cud be something else.. what else cud it be though???? these are the symptoms im having:
Bleeding from the back passage
A lasting change in normal bowel habits towards diarrhoea or looser stools
Pain in my abdomen
plz help me cause im rly worried...

Right, take a deep breath here and calm down. The symptoms you describe could be many things. The first thing that came into my mind was Irritable Bowel Syndrome.
Given the style of your typing. I'm assuming you are quite young? Bowel cancer is very rare in younger people.
But you really do need to go and see your doctor. They will be the only person who can advise you properly.
What colour is the bleeding? Deep red or light red? Deep red suggests bleeding further up the GI tract... You're right of course, the symptoms you describe could be any of about 7 different pathologies.
I would suggest you get it checked out by your doc ASAP. They will probably refer you for a barium enema which will confirm what the problem is. Don't worry about the procedure, I've seen hundreds of them done and dignity is kept to a maximum in a low-light room.
The worst thing you could do though, is to leave it and hope it goes away by itself. If it is cancer, then the earlier the diagnosis, the better the outcome.

There could be lots of reason for this so do not stress so much about it!!! However you do need to go to a doctor asap and get this checked out!! Could be hemmoroids! could be something simple - could be something serious!! Quit guessing and go to a doctor!!! We cannot diagnos this for you - get a professional opinion!! A few simple tests can either relieve your worries or at least get you treatment early enough to make a difference if it is serious!! Go to doctor now!!!
I would very much think you do not have bowel cancer. There can be bleeding from the rectum for many, many reasons. Look at this site:

If the blood is bright red, it is probably piles. It's best in any case to get it checked out. It's probably nothing but see your GP just to put your mind at rest.
If there's ever any worry you should go and get yourself checked out. Better to be safe than sorry!

The commonest cause of fresh rectal bleeding is piles! However ALL episodes of rectal bleeding do need investigated, see your GP.

i had similar symptoms few years back , i was in agony,and very worried like yourself which only made things worse,it turned out to be an duodenum ulcer (a bowel ulcer), see a doctor and get it checked out.....
Looking at your profile, it states you are 15, so bowel cancer is virtually unheard of in this age group, no one i work with has known anyone this young diagnosed.
To speculate on other causes would be unwise, so if you are as concerned as you seem, then speak to your GP.
I don't know much about this but Ireally think you should see a docter soon!

The chances of you having colon cancer are very low. I would lean more towards you having irritable bowel syndrome. More than likely you also have either internal or external hemorrhoids.
Before you leap to any conclusions here are some questions. Have you altered your eating habits within the time frame that this has been happening? Have you increased your consumption of fruits or high fiber foods?
Regardless of the answer to any of these I would make an appointment to see your family physician. This will both ease your mind and get you some much needed relief.
it is most likely DEFINATELT not bowel cancer if u are 15 and have no family history of heridetary bowel cancer disorders (you would be aware if these were in your family history)
millions of people experience change in bowel habits every day. bleeding from the rectum is common and has many causes other than cancer.
dont stress yourself. just go to ur doctor, its not something to be embarassed about he will see people all the time with this complaint. better to get an answer than to keep worrying. good luck!
