What are the chances of dying of pneumonia?!
Question: my dad has it. hes 55 years old, he drinks alot of alcohol, well he use too.. he stopped like for a month or two..already. he has high colesterol, and he had his apendics taken out like two years ago, he and he use to have kidney stones removed. well i just wanted to say all the stuff because then you say depends if hes healthy or not.. please give me advise ASAP

well i had pneumonia when i was younger it really is dangerous if not treated soon it also depends if you are in the begging it is still dangerous but when you are in the hospital it has a higher likely hood dying (don't worry if hes with the docters they can help there have been lots of cases of this)
the chances of dying from it are very great if its not taken care of quickly, Im 26 and last year I had it an never did anything about it, I finally went to the doctor and he admited me to the hospital right away, they said I had maybe eight hours to live

Yes you do reap what you sow in this life! Sounds like your Dad needs to take a long hard look at his diet and his overall health and start getting back into shape as it will only get worse as he ages and 55 isn't old. I think he will recover from the pneumonia but I would like you to tell him that you want him around for many years to come and that you can help him in regaining his health e.g. go for walks with him - cook him healthy meals.
great chance of dieing. he has to get exersice and eat healthy... and get him to stop drinking
