BP also go up when you Exercise tell me Please my go up to 152/88 and heart rate!

Question: It's normal for your bp and pulse to rise when you are exercising. By how much depends on what shape you are in, what medications your are on, your age, etc. Generally it's the top number that will rise and less so with the bottom number. What is not normal is that the top number doesn't come down or the bottom number rises after you exercise. If you are healthy it should rebound to normal shortly. Exercise is the best thing you can do to lower your blood pressure if you have high blood pressure to start with. Always check with your doctor before starting an exercise program, especially a strenuous one, and also if your blood pressure doesn't come down much after exercising or you don't feel well. Good luck in health.

normal and should come down while at rest good to monitor tho` as long as you are not having chest pain

If the figures you quote are true, then you're in a very healthy state. I wish mine were nearly as good!

Actually, it's NOT the actual numbers that are significant, but how they change when you exercise. You don't say what they are at rest, so it's not possible to comment, despite Lulu's chatter.

But the pulse rate MUST increase (and yours does), the systolic (top one ) pressure must too, and the diastolic may -or may not, depending on your age, general fitness, and arterial condition.

138 is an excellent pulse rate for someone exercising.

Based on what you've told us, you're fit as a fiddle, have nothing to worry about, and I would guess, say about 20-25 yrs old. Your "resting" systolic pressure is probably about 120?

Its okay. No worries. Your blood pressure during exercise can almost be in the 190s for top and 100s for bottom numbers if your working hard. If you have no symptoms and have not over exerted yourself for your age brackett your okay. Just make sure when your workout is complete that you recover properly, are hydrated, and the blood pressure comes down. If it stays elevated you may have a hypertension problem, visit your doctor.
