I'm still a smoker, but went from 1 pack a day down to 2-3 cig's a day now? Mainly due to me getting very sick with Bronchitis & Pnemonia I've had now for 1 week. GOD I can't stand smoking though it makes me caugh to the point I wan't to throw up, I gag so much...Plus it stink's having to stand outdoors to smoke it anyway's, because our new landlord here won't let us smoke it indoors. No it never clears anything, not nose, not throat, not lung's, not anything!!! If anything it clog's up everything more, it weekens your taste bud's, clog's your Lung Cilia with tar, poisons your blood with Carbonmonoxide, poisons your brain with Nicotein, and helps to clog your arteries, and raise blood pressure...who ever even invented Ciggarettes should be locked in a small room filled with smoke, and forced to smoke a carton a day, until his face turns green...then he will know how it feels to live.

He is bs'ing you. I smoke about 5 cigs a day, I used to smoke a pack a day. I have much less upper respiratory problems than I use to. Hardly any colds. I am working slowly toward quiting.

lol....probably his excuse to continue smoking

I am an ex smoker, and have friends who still are. People will always find a way to justify having a nicotine habit. I no longer wheeze when I breathe, but I still have a difficult time climbing a hill, and have respitory problems when I get sick.

He's crazy i kept getting sinusitis when i was smoking and that's how i quit i had it so bad that when i tried to smoke while i had the cough and what not i thought i was gonna choke to death anyways thats how i stopped i had this cough/sinusitis for like 3 wks. it was awful

That's an addicts answer, sorry

His way of wanted to hang on to the addiction

After 40+ years of smoking, my nasal cavities are ALWAYS dry and clogged. Started several years ago (I'm 60).

Plus, I'll tell you something you might tell your man.

I have terminal, yes I said TERMINAL, emphysema. I started smoking when I was 17 and it was the worse mistake of my life.

I was given 5 years to live 10 years ago. I don't know why I'm still here. I almost DIED 6 times in the last 3 years, placed on LIFE SUPPORT each time. Once a doctor said, "Your blood O2 level was so low, I don't understand why you're not dead." Another time, when I said I thought I was going to die a couple of times, my doctor said, "So did I."

Does he like to play sports? Forget it. I can still throw a football 60+ yds, and hit a baseball 300 ft, but I can barely walk 75 feet.

Does he like to swim? Forget it. I can't hold my breath for more than 10 seconds, and that's sitting still.

And, for when he gets older (50's), FORGET SEX, gone, audios. Guess what you need most to have sex? You got it, BREATHE!!!

And, DON'T FOR A SECOND think emphysema is like asthma. Look it up on the Web and learn.

I hope he reads up on it and it scares the sh!t out of him. I wish someone scared the sh!t out of me when I was younger. They tried, but I didn't listen.

Don't let him make the same mistake. He will regret it, believe me, he will regret it.

Sorry for the rant.
