My two year old has a pimple on his chin, what do I do about it?!

Question: About 3 or 4 days ago, I noticed a small pimple on my son's chin. He has not had one since he was newborn with the normal baby acne stuff. I didn't mess with it because I know you aren't suppost to pop them and I didn't want to hurt him. The next day, I noticed it was bigger, and then the next day, bigger. This morning it is huge and has a little hard spot on it, like he had popped it a little. What can I do to get rid of it? It hurts him and he tries to lick it, I guess because he can feel it and its right on his chin.

Wash his face with antibacterial soap and then put antibiotic ointment on it. If it doesn't start looking better in 24 hours, call the doctor for an appointment. Small children tend to get a spot on face, then next thing you know its impetigo, which can be very contagious.

POP IT!

If you put a little spot of toothpaste on the pimple, it will dry it up quickly. You might have to do it for a couple of days but it will definitely work!

just leave it, picking at it only will make it worse and sore

neosporin

deffinitly don't let him lick it, if it's that big pop it, or take him to the doctor if your that worried about it

Do not pop it!!! It could lead to a pore closing and getting infected. keep it clean it will clear up on it's own.

I agree with Andrea..... just leave it be.

Just tell your son that if he picks it or licks it, bad germs will spread from it. Tell him it's healing, and everytime he touches it, it has to start healing all over again !

But even if he does pick it or whatever, he'll be fine ;)
just let it be

could be a bug bite or visit a derm.

DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!

it's gonna be ok in a couple of days

I would recommmend using a gentle cleanser called cetaphil. it is actually made for babies with soft skin and ill make sure that it doesn't become infected. poor guy....it should be gone in a few days...and tell him not to pick at it. hope this helps!
