What happens though is that a person who wants to be skinny will eat some food to satisfy their hunger, then they will throw up on purpose to keep from taking in the calories. At this point, it is not bulimia. After a while though, these people's bodies' become trained to react to food in this way. In other words, it becomes automatic to throw up after eating food. When your body reacts to food automatically throwing it up, not on purpose, this is bulimia.
