Who do I swell so much after eating?!

Question: I have started to notice recently that I get very bloated when I have eaten.

I can not eat bread because I swell so much I think I actually look pregnant!!!

For as long as I can remeber I have battled with eating, I used to party a lot and did not eat that much or often.

I understand that I must have done damage to myself during this time however I have been eating and not partying for over a year now, thanks to Mr Nice

Any ideas on what is causing this problem, I have made an appointment for the doc's and I am keeping a food diary just now that will hopefull show up any intolerances.

Thank you in advance... ;0)

You have a weak digestion. I'm sure you haven't got wheat or dairy allergy because you would be very very sick.
Try eating only twice a day, making sure that a good few hours have gone by between meals. You need to give your digestive system a good rest, that's why you can only eat twice a day. Make sure you don't eat too much. Try also to relax a bit and do some exercises.
Alternatively, you could go to a chinese herbalist they have all sorts of treatments available for your condition. Your GP won't be able to help you much, you'll come away quite dissapointed from him/her. The doctor will just tell you to experiment with your diet, but the hard truth is that there's nothing you can experiment with because anything you eat will cause this problem. Only very small amounts of food eaten with many hours in between each meal can alleviate your problem.

try cutting back on sodium. It makes your body hold in water, which could cause swelling and feelings of bloatedness (lol) .

Could be a 'glandular' problem bud?.....

It can be caused from many things:

Salt can make you retain water.

It could be gasses in your abdomen from GI tract.

Gallbladder problems (cholecystitis or cholelithiasis)

These are the most common.

wait til your doctor tells you what's wrong.

i think you might have bowls syndrome i have it and no matter what i eat i get so bloated he should give you tablets to take for 20mins before everything you eat. make sure you keep writing down what affect you and take it to the docs with you.

Sounds like any number of things. One being a food allergy, the other being too much starch and sodium, perhaps you are allergic to dairy products. I hope they nail it the first time around. Good luck.

it could be a wheat intolerance or IBS... ask your doctor for checks - good luck

try to have walk after eating & eat 4 small meals .
