blood clots in the lungs can be serious, so your mum is in the best place. please be assured that arguments CANNOT cause blood clots so please don't beat yourself up. you did say that you believed in God, well pray for your mum's healing and ask God to give her comfort, that's all you can really do. whatever happens hon, it's not your fault, these things happen and nobody knows why. it's awful when somebody you love falls ill especially if you've had an argument, it's natural to feel like pooh, but you mustn't blame yourself for what has happened, it's good that they found it now, if she hadn't been upset and had the heart attack they may never have found out she had one, so in a way a bad thing has turned into something positive. take care and do try and be strong and try not to worry too much.

Blood clots are very serious. Full stop.

Blood clots are extremely serious; especially if it's in the lungs.
Seeing as all oxygenated blood comes from the lungs to the heart; a pulmonary embolus (blood clot in the lungs) is a very serious thing.

Thankfully; they caught it, and your mother is in good hands.

Blood clots can be treated and dissolved while your in the hospital. They are very serious, they can both kill you and cripple you.
Usually when a blood clot goes through the heart and enters the brain, a clot buster is given as a last cause but, these can be just as dangerous as the clot. The "clot buster" thins the blood and actually helps the clot move in the arteries.
When there is no other way, this is the last try.

If left untreated they can be dangerous.
As long as she is still in the hospital they will run tests and find if she has any and where they are located in her body. Then she will probable be put on some blood thinners and have to have her blood drawn routinely to watch her bleeding times (labs).

As long as she is compliant with the doctors orders all should be well.

blood clots are really bad. you should talk to her doctor or someone

Best that she is in the hospital and they are taking care of the problem. It is serious and needs to be treated immediately if that's the finding. Best of luck to you and your mom.
