Anyone who suffers from acne wants to get rid of it as quickly as possible. Acne is not something you like hanging around. It can affect your self confidence and it seems to always arise at the worst of times. Acne is not gender or race bias. It can affect men and women in actual fact at any age. It is most common during puberty.

The reason for this is because the body over produces a substance called sebum. This is oily in consistency and can block your pores - the end result being the outbreak of acne.

Once you have an outbreak it is imperative to keep yourself as clean as you can. You need to cleanse your skin. You begin doing this by getting a cleanser that will help clean out your pores. Begin the process by steaming your face.

Just go boil some water put it in a sink and place your mug close to the water and give it about five minutes. Place a towel over your head to keep the steam in. At this point you can massage in some cleanser. After that wash your face with cold water so that you close the pores.

When drying your face make sure and pat yourself dry. Do not rub your face with a towel. Towels can be rough on the skin. You need to change your towels on a daily basis. In terms of bed clothing you will need to change that every other day.

Drink lots of water. You need to keep your skin refreshed and help it from the inside out. Cut out sugary sodas and cut down on dairy. As for home remedies you can cut up garlic and rub it in to the affected area. I have to admit when I heard this the first time I thought it was funny, but it does actually work - but not for everyone.

There is a method that can clear your acne problem in as little as three days. It as been featured on shows like Oprah and CNN. They guarantee the results. You owe it to yourself to try it. If it fails you get your money back.

Personally I am always skeptical but when it comes with a guarantee I feel more comfortable knowing that this individual must have some faith in his product otherwise he would go out of business pretty quickly.

You need to find acne on two fronts. Get some antibiotics from your doctor and then some benzol peroxide and apply per the instructions on the tube. Topical treatments alone won't work. I took two different antibiotics over a 4 year period and they worked great: Amoxilcilan and Dyoxicyclene.

Well I know for a fact that ortho-tricycline will clear up your acne. It is a birthcontrol pill, but my neice had very bad acne, and she got on the pill (ortho-tricycline) and her face is smooth and clear. she may get an occasional pimpli but not very often. In fact I wish that it could be used for my son. You couls also try an get a perscription of doxycyclin, that works well too. Ortho-tricycline is known for its clearing of acne, ask your obgyn.

I feel you, I started getting acne after i graduated from high school, and boy did it hit me hard! My face was almost fully covered in red.

Till this day i still have acne, but not as bad as it used to be.

Here's some pointers that worked for me.

-Don't use different medications, pick one and stick to it for a few weeks. Using different medications at the same time will sometimes just irritate your skin causing more acne.

-I know this is hard but, TRY NOT TO TOUCH YOUR FACE! as much as possible and don't let other people touch your face either.

-Try not to stress out, my doctor told me that Stress can be the cause of acne (for certain people) depending how severe your acne is and how stressful you are.

-Don't wash your face so much, i know people say to wash 3 times a day...trust me, over exposure to chemicals and such things can only lead to more irritation. Just wash your face once in the morning and once at night.

-If your face over-dry's, avoid the peroxide treatmeants and stick to sylicid acid.

-Try not to pop them, i know sometimes having that big ugly puss ball is embarrasing, but must of these pimples just "dry up" on their own without scaring your face. If you pop pimples you will scar your face and irritate that area causing more breakouts, try your hardest to just leave them alone.

-Remember treating acne is a process which takes weeks if not months to fully recover and you have to stay true to it!.

I hope this works, but remember you have to stay true to the healing process!
