Do people always die from same things as parents?!


Question: my dad died at the age of 81 of cancer of kidney,his brother also died of cancer in his 60's a sister of his died of stomache cancer in her 60's,my mum died aged 57of copd --she had a very long history of breathing problems since getting pnemonia when she was 18 and it resulted in a permanent scarred lung.i am 49years old no medical conditions other than graves disease which is under control so why do i worry i will die young as some of my family have

NO. We have our parents DNA but our environment and choices are different which make a big difference.
Cancer being in your family history is a concern so you need to take your annual physicals (Oh FUN) but you also need to live a healthy lifestyle. The usual eat right, exercise and keep all the drinking smoking etc..to a very moderate level or not at all.
Its not a guarantee; but it will definitely improve your chances of avoiding the problem and should it show up anyway, you improve your chances of winning the fight.

Certain things like cancer can be hereditary. But if you know this coming into it all than make sure to take good care of yourself and see a doctor regularly.

Everyone Obviously Is A Carier Of Cancer. Meaning It Is Also In Your Genes So You Also May Get It.

Of course not. But if there is a family history of a disease then tell your doctor and get checked for it, they can cure or prevent many things now if they know what to look for.
