GOOD GOD YES!! The stuff I had to drink was called "go lightly" HA! I went and it wasnt lightly!!

Ask Katie Couric, but seriously it's better.

I've never had a colon cleanse, but that stuff over the counter is disgusting but it works !

It is a total colon cleanse! My husband lost about 6 lbs in 24 hours! WARNING: DO NOT STRAY FAR FROM THE TOILET!

Nope, just dont eat 24 hrs before and take it like a man

yes it is! i am 13 and i had one of those. i asked the doctor a billion and one questions about the medicine he had me take. plus anything that empties your bowels and gives you a clean start has to be good for you.

no but I'll tell you 1 thing , it's the worst pain I've ever suffered, pre op stuff.. that clears you out.

it's not the same anyway, and you can't eat for a day before that op. .and for a week you only can have certain foods..

it's best to get it sorted anyway. as for colonic iregation or however you say it, thats supposed to remove GOOD bacteria from your system also..so in that sense it's not so good..

Usually what they prescribe is a fleet enema (sodium biphosphate and sodium phosphate) which is over the counter preparation. This simply empties the very end of your digestive system (mostly stays in the rectum) to allow the scope unfettered entry.

Deep colon irrigation is not a medical procedure. It's an "alternative medicine" treatment generally frowned upon by mainstream medicine as unnecessary and potentially dangerous.

It is made to get everything out of you and, if used as directed, will do just that.

You drink it as directed and it empties everything.

almost. not as strong.

The medication most doctors will ask you to take prior to a colonoscopy is called Pico Salex and its about $20-22 for a 2 pouch box. You take one in the morning at 8 am mixed with water and the second one about 4 pm mixed with water on the same day. It will definitely give you a good cleanout but it's not recommended or advised to be used as a laxative or colon cleanse on a regular basis..........and don't take it unless you're planning on spending the day close to a toilet because it works fast and furious!.....especially after the first dose.

I've had many colonoscopies done over the past 8 years. I had colon cancer so have been checked quite often over that time...

It is recommended that you eat lightly the night before you start your clean out. I chose to eat fish and rice. Nothing with fiber or hard to digest skins (like corn).

Before bedtime, take 4 Dolcolax. You should be "moving" by morning. After you wake up you will need to take a bottle of Fleet's Phosphasoda. You can mix it with GingerAle to help you drink it down. I recommend you ake the GingerAle as cold as possible beforehand as it helps to mask some of the taste of the Fleet's. Over the next hour, be sure to drink about 1/2 gallon of fluid. I use GatorAde or Propel. That helps to keep your electrolytes up which keeps you from getting dizzy. Keep drinking water through the day (not quite as heavily as that first hour but keep drinking).

By the end of the day you should be running almost clear with no solid fecal matter. Your doctor may indicate you should do an enema about 2 hours before the procedure but ask him to be sure. Use a saline enema, not a mineral oil one. The saline enema leaves no residue to impede the test.

Just remember to stick with clear fluids and/or very light colored jello the day of your clean out.

I hope this helps.

YES I AM JSUT KIDDING NO CLUE BUY ONE OF THOSE MAGIC 8 BALLS
