You need a certain amount of vitamin C every day, and if you don't get enough you lose some resistance to colds and flu. If you get more it doesn't hurt you.

Some people think huge doses of vitamin C will help cure a cold. I don't know if that's true, but I've tried it and it did seem to work. I am lucky, I don't get colds very often, but when I do I get really sick! With vitamin C I really seem to get better faster. But that's just anecdotal evidence, it could even be just my imagination.

Vitamin C is water-soluble. This means if you take way way more than you need, 'megadoses' of vitamin C, it will simply flush out of your body in your urine. So it doesn't hurt to at least TRY it. But from everything I have read, you only need like 100-150 mg a day, and you can't use more than that.

You don't "NEED" anymore than whats listed on the bottle. And talking too much can do more harm than good.

NO YOU gave it to them
