How to love your body...?!

Question: Im 33 years old, a female...happily married and have a 15 year old son...my problem is im overweight, not by just a few pounds, but by ALOT...i was diagnosed 4 years ago with Hashimoto's disease (thyroid disease) , and I have gained so much weight from it (100 pounds) i hate the way i look, i hate the way my body feels, i dont feel sexy, i dont get completely nude while making love with my hubby (although he supports me and says im sexy and he loves me more then anything in the world) i just cant understand how anyone could love a big blob of fat...i watch what i eat, i exercise daily (7 days a week) 1 hour on the treadmill at 7% incline going 3 mph and i also do pilates. Im not losing weight, I feel so depressed, when my son & hubby are home i always act cheerful & happy, but when they are at work and school i just cry, i dont eat sweets, i dont binge eat...im just so lost, im not sure what to do anymore, how do i accept myself for who i am and be proud of it?

Talk to your doctor and get a referral for a therapist. It will take more help than you can get from here, but you can do this! You will realize that we are not our bodies, we are the mind and spirit inside. Just as you would still love and value your wonderful husband if his outward appearance were to change, you can still love and value yourself despite the changes you have experienced. It sounds like you are doing all the right things for your physical self, now please do the right thing for your spiritual self and get some help from a good therapist.
Good luck.

you need to first go to the mirror and see how beautiful you really are...weight sucks mostly because you physically feel bad.. Obviously your husband loves you and see's who you are inside...plz next call your doctor because what you seem to be experiencing is depression...get treatment asap...it will make you feel more confident

if you were diagnosed by a doctor with a disease what have they told you? can you lose weight? will you get progressively bigger? can the doctor put you on a diet? if your family accepts you the way you are I dont see the problem. i mean, sooner or later you have to accept what you see in the mirror if theres no solution, right? i mean, your husband loves you and still makes love to you. there are skinny people out there that dont have that.

Contact your doctor today and describe to him what you told us here. Many people with the same condition get to feeling the same way, and you don't have to live like that!
Your doctor will be able to refer you to the proper specialist to aid you, and they will be able to map out a plan to get you feeling well. Being healthy is as much about your mind as it is your body.
Also please share these feelings with your husband if you haven't already. He sounds like he is very supportive of you and loves you.
Another thing that may help (that helped me) is to get COMPLETELY naked and stand in front of a full-length mirror for fifteen minutes everyday. Look at yourself and think about all the things that are great about you, do not allow any negative thoughts to intrude. It really does help.
I wish you the very best.

Welll everyone is made in all shapes or sizes just accsept who you are your beautiful
