What should i do about my belly ring?!?!

Question: I got my belly pierced about 1 year ago, and about 2 months ago i started noticing that the skin in between it was getting smaller, my friends said it was just me but i can SO tell a difference. And now the top hole is red around it, its not gross or anything just red, it turned red when i changed it the other day and i thought i might have been alergic to the plastic the ring was made out of. my piercer looked at it 1 month ago and said it was fine, but now im not so sure. has this happened to anyone else and what did you do?!
thanx =]

If the skin between the holes is getting smaller, this means the piercing is "migrating." This happened to a friend and pretty soon it'll just fall out. If it's red, the most likely issue was that you didn't sterilize the new ring before putting it in. You need to sterilize the new jewellery every time you take it out and put it in. Not doing this can cause infections.

This is more likely your situation and not that you're allergic to the plastic. Take it out, clean it properly and put a sterile ring back in until it heals.

go to the docter and get it checked

It is maybe infected. You should go see a specialist!!!

You could be allergic to the plastic like you said. It might have gotten irritated when you changed it. Try washing it at least twice a day with liquid dial soap. Also, apply some neosporin on it and move it around. Keep doing this for a few weeks, if it doesn't go away, you may need to get another belly ring or have it checked out again. Make sure it's regular neosporin and not pain & relief. Good luck.
