Is cycling at home is good for diabetics?!
Question: I am diabetic and have been advised minimum 4 km brisk walk every day. Due to cold, instead of going for a walk I am cycling at home (exercise cycle). Will it be ok. Pl advice

Yes, that is quite acceptable. The idea is to increase the heart rate and demand for glucose by the cells. Exercise of any kind is good for a diabetic, especially a type 2 diabetic. By increasing the demand for glucose and insulin, you help the cells remember what it is they are supposed to be doing with what. In some cases exercise can help you get things in control enough to eliminate the need for supplemental insulin or cut down the dosage of medication. So cycling for the equivalent of 4km would be just fine. Just do it at as brisk a pace as you can. My father swaps between the treadmill and cycle himself, and it's allowed him to halve his medication dosage.
I don't see why it wouldn't be okay.
It's just like brisk walking but inside your home
YES!
The cold weather would make your body ache.
Peddle your 4km and change it up sometimes. Ride 2km at a slow pace ride 1km at a faster pace and the last 1km at a slow pace.
Peace
Cycling is good But do not over Do the excercise !
Any exercise for anyone, diabetic or not, is better than no exercise.
Do as your physician advises
(assuming that's the person who "advised" you).
P.S. Your last "sentence", if it could be called that, "Pl advice", should have read, "Please advise". In the future, avoid text-messaging style, excessive abbreviations, and use a dictionary. That's my advice; it's up to you to take it under advisement, but I'd strongly advise you to take my advice! ;)
yeah it does work.....do it just for 15/30 min.
