How do i reduce my fever! i feel like poop!?!

Question: its a dilemma really. First a fever is a natural reaction and helps the body fight the disease. But second they don't make you feel so good. I would say try to last it out for as long as you can. If its near bedtime and need help sleeping take standard Tylenol (acetaminophen) doses (on the box). Remember to stay well hydrated if you fever goes above 103 or stay for 3 days then you need to see a doctor.

asprin

Your fever helps you fight off the infection. Stay under the covers and sweat it out, take a hot bath.Eat hot soup and drink hot tea with honey.Dont worry until you go over 103.You'll feel better soon . :o(

Motrin Tylenol Advil a warm bath

You can do tylenol / motrin and do passive cooling... don't bundle up with tons of clothes... sorry if it's cold but it only makes your fever stay. Loose clothing with a light blanket. I work in a hospital so I know...

What other symptoms do you have with the fever?
Using a thermometer, how high is the fever?
Put in a call to your health care provider's office. There's usually a triage nurse to help you make an assessment and guide you.

Tylenol or Motrin, lots of fluid: juice, water, tea, etc. Lots of rest.

Tylenol or Aspirin every 4 hours. Rest. Liquids. And no matter how cold you are very impt. to keep loose clothes and a light blanket. It will help. A fever is your body's way of fighting the infection. You get chills b/c your body is trying to cool down from the high fever. It's your body's way of helping you - take the Tylenol, liquids and rest.

You should really consult your doctor. Sometimes a Tylenol(acetaminophen), Motrin(Ibuprofen) alternating combo works. The doses can be alternated every three hours. So take the Tylenol and three hours later take the Motrin. So you should be getting the Tylenol every six hours and the Motrin every six hours.

some motrin, lots of rest and lots of clear fluids. also cool bath to try and break the fever
