Cholesterol lowering has repeatedly been shown to be useless and potentially dangerous. Please look up the Lipid Research Clinics Coronary Primary Prevention Trial, EHANCE Trial, A to Z Trial, J-LIT Trial.

If you do not have coronary heart disease statin will not help If you do, they might slightly , and by their 11 OTHER effects. Cholesterol lowering is NOT how statins help certain persons WITH CHD.

They do not benefit women at all.

The Cholesterol Theory of CHD is a complete scam and I am glady that slowly it is being exposed to the public for what it is.

Did you check with your doctor???? These drugs were prescribed because you have high cholesterol.
If you read the instruction sheet, it gives you a list of potential side effects, and it probably mentions, " if these symptoms persist all your doctor." DID you notify your doctor???

These Cholesterol lowering drugs have side effects that will make you feel crapy. Some times that is the price we have to pay for being healthy.

Well ,I don't know what kind you were taking, but mine don't do that to me. I take mine in the morning with all the other pills, then its off to exercise at the physical therapist. Hope you are feeling better.

Yes I had to come off mine as I was experiencing sore muscles and the blood tests were showing that they were causing muscle weakness But they also brought my cholesterol down I am waiting to try another one out and I believe that they try you out on the cheapest one first.

If you want to remove yourself from taking these kinds of medications (and I am by no means advocating that you stop taking them unless your doctor saids so) you'll have to change your diet. Some cholesterol is from the foods you eat (ie greasy and most of your fast foods) and some from family. I've heard that eating a fiber rich diet helps lower it, plus eating (of all things) garlic among other things, also have heard that cinnamon works also. I'm currently using colestid powder to help control mine, but I'm taking it with OJ. Will be trying to make a smoothie with it and see how that works. One thing my dr advised me to use was metamucil. Try using some home type remedies if you want to stop the meds. But check with your doctor. Hope that helps.
