I need help with a skin question...?!

Question: There are 4 people in my household plus a baby, they all have some sort of skin rash (except me) They have scab like things under there armpits on there arms and legs. We've all had our hands in a bit of water due to bathing the baby, sterilizing and washing baby bottles, plus the daily showers and dishes. They've been to the pharmacist to see if they know what it is and they said scabbies. But that's impossible because 1. I don't have it, 2. they haven't been around anyone with scabbies to catch it and 3. there's no burrow like things in the skin. So is there a chance that it's eczema?

As awful as it sounds, please don't dismiss the possibility that it is scabies. You can't see them. They are microscopic and produce the scab like areas you describe. I would trust a pharmacist in many cases as much as I would trust an MD. After I read your question I Googled scabies pictures. Some of them are graphic, but the pictures and information will help you better decide if this is really what your family might be suffering with. Good luck.

If they have all acquired it at the same time it is not eczema. It could be an allergic dermatitis and your body is not reacting to whatever their bodies are. Have you all been using any new products such as detergents, soaps, lotions etc..?
