Answers: Can anyone tell me how she feels she won't talk to anyone?

She is so scared of dying. I had a close friend who died from ovarian cancer and she would tell us how scared she was. Perhaps telling her about heaven and how she will be in a beautiful place may help if she believes in that. Otherwise, just keep telling her over and over how much you love her and remind her about all the wonderful things she has done in her life and how many people she has made happy. Maybe you can watch the movie "it's a wonderful life together" with lots of Kleenex. No matter what, it's not going to be easy. I'm so sorry.

Is there a hospice or a palliative care ward in your hospital if not maybe look in the phone book these people deal with the patient that are in end stages of life. They can help you and your sister and the rest of your family make the adjustment of her passing if need be. God Bless

Let her be alone for now.
But dont stress out around her. Treat everything like its normal. I mean, the fact that she has cancer, you need to think its so normal its like tieing up your shoelaces. It helps.

just be honest with her. She already knows what will happen next its up to you to make her happy in her final time. You should be open to her atleast give her the best and do the best for her in her remaining time.

You will feel misserable if you dont do what you feel like you have to do. It happens to me though and I dont even have a chance to do something for her. The next time I hear d about her shes dead and I was down for too long but it turned out to be a frank. Nwei the feeling will be the same. If she does not want to talk just be at her side and do anything that you think that will make her feel that you love her so much

Its pretty hard to face the fact that you have a descease, you would probably do the same, you should just let her be for a little while. :] Then later be a good sister and tell her its going to be al right, and comfort her, and tell her how most peope survive it & stuff that will make her feel better.

is there any way she can go to Canada or Cuba for treatment? have you seen the movie called 'Sicko'? Have you looked into herbs and healing juices? Healing America.com?-etc.

I am afraid that the only one that can tell you how she feels is her herself or some one that is going through the same thing. I would suggest you talk to the nurses and see if there is some one in the hospital that is older that has the same thing that has excepted that they are going to die to talk to your sister. It might make it a little easy-er on her to talk to some one like that.

I am very sorry to hear your bad news, your sister is going to be going through alot of emotions right now she will probably be upset and very angrey. I think most people always think 'why me?' and they feel like they have lots of questions they need answering.

She is going to be very scared also, please explain to her how you are feeling. Tell her how much you love her and want to be there for her. See if there is anything you can do for her, anything just simple things like shopping or going to the video shop to hire a film to watch together. Try to take her mind off the situation. She may not feel like talking now but let her deal with her emotions then just be there for her when she is ready.

In the time your sister has left build up lots of nice memories and do fun stuff together if she is well enough. That way you will have lots of good times to look back on.

If you live in the uk contact macmillan they can give you lots of help and support and can put you in contact with a macmillan nurse.
