My boyfriend has blue bruise on his lip. std?!
Question: i noticed my boyfriend had something that looked like a bruise on his lip. as if he had bitten himself or something but its been there for a couple of months. im worried its an std or something. i asked him what it was but he just replied with a goofy answer. help?

I wouldn't put up with goofy answers if I were you... That's how I got my "cold sore". Anyhow, herpes blisters don't tend to look like a bruise.
well when my lips get dry they peel and chap and the part that comes off kinda turns in to a dark brown or black scar like thing....but with my skin tone i scar easy. i once bumped into a table in a changing room and got a scar. weird huh? but dont freak out about your boyfriend. its probably nothing, but if you want extra reassurance, try an std website :) good luck
Contusions (bruises) are not usually a sign of an STD but if you are worried about STD's you should both get checked out. If you live in the U.S., make an appt. with your county health department. You can get checked for everything and the practitioners are very knowledgeable. They deal with that stuff every day, so don't be afraid to ask.
