Whats with STD warnings when not using condom with the pill?!

Question: ive been reasearching to see whats what with the pill... well its been good results except people have written that u should still u condom with pill... "just because pill is good doesnt mean u wont be fine with STD's"... its clinicly effective with 99.9% chance to no pregnancy or something but got side effects that are bad and risky if u forget to take etc... but my question is... what if u do go with people saying safest to use both for no STD's 4 a risk of less pleasure, but then what if u want a baby... then u need to pass sperm through... which means then ur gonna have the risk that people say u would if no condom with pill?... its like its saying only if u want baby its unsafe to only use pill... its not like anyone else can afford the test tube babies etc.... its the old fashioned way... ur at risk no matter what... why cant u just do those tests they have and see if u got a STD? can anybody explain this contrudiction??? what is difference in no condom with pill and want baby?

It's about the different types of relationships. That warning that it doesn't protect against STDs is for women who are not necessarily in monogamous relationships, women who may not just be sleeping with one guy. Or if they are, then that guy may not be committed to her and sleep with other women, which puts her at risk from catching something if condoms are not used. If people are PLANNING to have children, surely it's sensible that they're sure they've got no STDs and are also sure that neither party are cheating, so it's perfectly safe to have unprotected sex with a view to having children. It's when silly girls are on the pill and have sex with various people with no condoms - that's the real risk, so that's why the warning is there.

Simply, the pill does not give protection against STD's. Yes, you risk STD's when trying to get pregnant. But if you are worried about STD's, then get checked out by the doctor before you try to get pregnant. The doctor can screen you for STD's

The warning, helps to prevent lawsuits for the companies. Some people out there might think that the pill will protect against STD's, even though it doesn't. Yes, you can just get the tests to see if you have an STD. But what happens when you find out that you do have one, and you could have prevented it by using a condom? Why not just protect yourself from the beginning? It's smart thinking. Also, the pill is not 100% effective in preventing pregnancy. The companies and doctors recommend condom usage as added protection. I have one question for you. Why would you NOT want to protect yourself as best you could, against STD's and unwanted pregnancy? If you're going to have sex, at least educate yourself. If you can't educate yourself, then you don't need to be having sex yet. ALWAYS USE A CONDOM! Just because someone says they have no diseases or looks like they don't have a disease, doesn't mean that they don't have an STD. You are responsible for yourself. Do everything you can to protect yourself. The only 100% guarantee to protect yourself from unwanted pregnancy and STD's, is abstinence.
