My husband and I have problems with yeast. What can we do?!

Question: It has been a few years now.
Sorry to have to say this.
My husband is uncut, but I don't think that is where the problem is coming from.
Ever since I've found out I am diabetic and a bit before then we have had problems with re occuring yeast infections every single time we have sex.
I don't usually get them, he usually gets them.
I want to know if there is something we can do about this.
Please no irritating sick comments.

I love my husband and I want our sex life to improve.
Thank you

Yeast infections (Candida vaginitis) are common in diabetics. The best way to prevent them is with good glucose control. Prevention is ideal, but I suspect that you will be dealing with them from time to time.

There are no reliable home or natural remedies, but some of these may help a little, especially yogurt, which many women say helps them. The Internet is filled with nonmedical remedies, such as at http://conditionsinfo.mitamins.com/Sexua... and http://www.regenerativenutrition.com/con... and http://www.prevention.com/cda/vendorarti... , but I would use an antibiotic if you can.

The easiest medical treatment is Diflucan 150mg (generic fluconazole) one pill one time for each of you

There's a more complete list of medical treatments regimens for yeast (Candida) vaginitis from http://www.postgradmed.com/issues/2000/0...

Hope that helps

I got my first and only yeast infection from my last boyfriend who was uncut. It seems everyone is either in denial or not informed enough about guys being uncut. Bacteria LIVES underneath the foreskin, so have your husband wash a lot because smegma can form.
I am not a doctor and know nothing about the relation to yeast infections and diabetes, sorry.

Go to see your GP. He can prescribe you with some medication to decrease changes of yeast infection.

He needs to clean up RIGHT AFTER sex every time.

His decision (or his parents?) is a personal one and unless he's willing to go have it cut,
he's just going to have to OVERdo his hygiene
