Question: I'm not sure if this is correct, but I heard that the medication called Trasylol (I think) is the cause of a class action law suit. If it was administered during open heart surgery, it may cause serious kidney problems. Does anyone know anything about this?

It has been suspended since Nov. 5th of last year. However, since no other effective drugs are available at this time, it will be slowly phased out instead of complete recall. The concern has been raised for a while now (at least since 2006).
The major concern is kidney damage and surge in death rate (supposely increased by 50%)
