Mercury in vacccines?!

Question: are there any mercury in vaccines anymore if so then what vaccines??

Answers: are there any mercury in vaccines anymore if so then what vaccines??

Most of them have Thimerisol (a mercury derivative) as a preservative.

Ask your doctor to use single use vials of the vaccine (since they dont have the preservative) if you have concerns. When you make the appointment, let them know - so they will be able to order them for you.

Q: What are the most common questions you hear from parents?

A: Do the vaccines still have mercury? That comes from a misconception that mercury is still all over the place. It's not. That's one way the anti-vaccine Web sites tend to mislead people. Patients come ask me, 'Do you use mercury-free vaccines?' I say, 'Of course but did you know all vaccines are mercury-free except for some brands of the flu shot.?' I think parents are right to be concerned about mercury and it wasn't a good thing to be injected into little babies.
