Anyone with bladder/kidney cancer?First symptom?!

Question: My Mum was diagnosed with kidney cancer last may. She had very few symptoms..... well we didn't think they where anything to worry about.. (It is a silent killer) Mum had extreme night sweats (but it was summer) she had back pain in her side. complained of a 'tired' back. Then she lost weight about 5 kilos (she told us she was eating healthy) The last thing she had was blood in her urine. She then went to the doctor who sent her to a urologist. They found a 5 cm tumor on her right kidney. At first thought they where going to take the kidney out that was before they did a ct scan where they found it had spread to her liver and lung. It was very aggressive. The liver tumor grew from 3cm to 12cm in a month. She pasted away Sept 7 after a 4 month battle aged 60. You just got my life story but the point i am trying to make is if your in doubt see a doctor often there is NO symptoms until its too late.

my father-in-law died of bladder cancer and his first symptom was blood in the urine. A neighbor also had that symptom and the doctor said right away, "it's bladder cancer." Apparently with few nerve endings in the bladder, there is no warning pain.

Blood in the urine. Especially if you use tobacco in any form, including snuff. Bladder cancer is most often from tobacco. All those chemicals get excreted then sit in the bladder for hours.
Hematuria can also be a symptom of kidney cancer, stones, prostatitis, and other conditions.
If you are worried about it , best thing to do is see a Urologist. Some of the tests are not pleasant, but better than dying of cancer because you did not get checked.
